We will hold students accountable for 5 very simple, but important policies.
In addition to these rules, we have a yellow/red card system for classroom behavior. A yellow card is offered to any student who needs a formal warning on a minor violation. Red cards are offered for serious violations of misbehavior or disrespect, and are also issued if a 2nd yellow card is needed for a repeat offense within the same class. We track these cards for behavior and work closely with classroom teachers and administration to issue consequences and enforce the required discipline needed to be successful at school.
Any issues related to lack of effort or participation may result in a non-participation form issued to the student to bring home, have signed by a parent/guardian, and returned the next school day. Also, any related incidences that may include types of violence, aggression, blatant disrespect, etc will be handled on a case by case basis and could potentially result in an immediate write-up/referral and appropriate disciplinary action.
